BEIJING, June 24 (Xinhua) -- China's men's basketball team will depart for Melbourne, Australia on Saturday for the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup Asian Qualifiers, the Chinese Basketball Association announced on Friday.

Coached by Du Feng, China's 14-man squad is as follows:

Zhou Qi, Wang Zhelin, Shen Zijie, Ren Junwei, Fu Hao, Gu Quan, Zhu Junlong, Lu Wenbo, Guo Ailun, Zhao Rui, Zhao Jiwei, Xu Jie, Hu Mingxuan and Sun Minghui.

Lu Wenbo will replace the injured Abudushalamu Abudurexiti. Forward Zhang Zhenlin missed the final squad since he was absent from the 33-day training camp in Guangzhou's Chimelong base due to his summer training in the U.S..

China's men's basketball team will play two games each with Australia and Chinese Taipei in this window period of World Cup Asian Qualifiers, before landing in Jakarta, Indonesia to compete in the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup where they are in Group B with South Korea, Bahrain and Chinese Taipei.
